    November 12, 2007: Eminent domain is probably one of most polarizing subjects. It evokes feelings and emotions that are at the core of the American Dream--that of owning property. Carla Main's book takes an in depth look at the subject of eminent domain through the eyes of one family in Freeport, Texas fighting the system to keep their family business from falling prey to the wrecking ball. The book stands alone as a reflection of what can happen when government, politics and people run amok. Bulldozed is written in a style that combines history with current day events in a manner that forces you to keep turning the page to learn more about this fascinating aspect of 'Americana' at its worst.
