    Synopsis

"To celebrate this beloved book’s 25th birthday, Eric Carle has energized his original artwork, providing bold, fresh colors and his now familiar menagerie." --Publishers Weekly

    Annotation

Children see a variety of animals, each one a different color, and a teacher looking at them.

    Children's Literature

Many new board books are re-releases of beloved books, now made more durable for babies who will first love the books' rhythm and rhyme in infancy and continue to love the story as toddlers. Among the classics making a new board book appearance is Martin's wonderfully rhythmic Brown Bear with illustrations by one of the best in the business, Eric Carle.

June 19, 2008: My son is a big Eric Carle fan and he has many of his book and this one is one of them. It is a very colorful book and is one that I even enjoy looking at because it's so clever how he uses shapes to create animals.

July 28, 2005: This is a great book! I grew up listening/reading these books, and this is my favorite, next too A Very Hungry Caterpillar. Now I will read them to my children, I'm sure they will enjoy them just as much. Ages Newborn (never too young to listen to a good book) to 8 or can read.
