This book is intended for practicing physicians involved in the care of patients affected by diseases in which bone densitometry is utilized for patient management and for physicians who must interpret bone densitometry data. It will enable the practitioner to knowingly select the appropriate densitometry techniques depending on the particular clinical scenario, and how to intepret the data and detect the effect of artifacts or structural changes indicated on the densitometry reading. They will further become experienced with the concepts of accuracy and precision in determining which site to measure. Dr. Bonnick has created an essential guide for the physician performing densitometry and the most comprehensive, yet easily readable explanation of densitometry results for primary care physicians.
