Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places-and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shapeshift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind.
But this new vampire is hardly ordinary-and neither is the demon inside of him.

December 07, 2009: I will definitely read more from this author. She's creative, her characters are well developed and her plotline for this book was original. I wondered how one would do a vampire/werewolf story without rehashing material and Patricia did it successfully. Shapeshifting into a coyote was brilliant.

November 29, 2009: Briggs absolutely captivates me with her world of preternatural creatures! I find myself completely intrigued to learn the in's and out's of how these creatures live. Blood Bound turns its focus to the Vampire world. This book was thrilling. Parts of it had me scared and wondering if I would be able to sleep after reading. I love the dynamics of the werewolf pack. Briggs gives them definite wolf/dog characteristics and its fascinating. Normally I go for love stories with thrills and this series doesn't have a love story at center stage. It has love interests but it's VERY slow moving (however, it does seem to be building up to something that will soon take center stage). Nonetheless, with everything else going on it more than makes up for it.
