    Number of stars (1 to 5): 3

Description and summary of main points

The old Gentlemen come down from the castle and tell Jyia and Kino to come in the gates so they don't get hit by the wave. They refuse and the old gentlemen close the gates. The wave comes and splits Jyias house in two.

    Evaluation

I didn't really like the book because I didn't think it was long enough and I thought it was kind of boring.

    Conclusion

Jaya, Kino and Setsu decide that they aren't going to be afraid of the wave and stay on the island. Jaya and Setsu get married.

    Your final review

I didn't like the book but if I had to recommend the book to someone I would recommend it to people in middle school.

Book title and author: The Big Wave by Pearl S. Buck

    Number of stars (1 to 5): 4

    Introduction

Kino and Jiya are best friends. When Kino's family gets torn apart from the big wave Jiya and his family generously take him in.

Title of review: into their home.

Description and summary of main points

The book was very exciting because if a big wave hit you're house and split up your family, what would you do? Stay with a friend. So it's rather easy to connect with how Pearl S. Buck writes.

    Evaluation

The book was great because it's easy to read and pretty much everyone would enjoy it.

    Conclusion

The theme of the story is friendship is everything.

    Your final review

The author writes many superior books but this one was very vivid and made it an interesting story.
