    Synopsis

PORTABLE PROFESSOR™ is a series of exciting and informative lectures recorded by some of today's most renowned university and college professors. Each course introduces listeners to fascinating, and sometimes startling, insights into the intellectual forces that shape our understanding of the world. Each package includes 14 riveting lectures presented by notable professors as well as a book-length course guide.

Typically, advice on investing comes in the form of tips regarding a particular stock or portfolio, but the stock market-like everything in the global community-is profoundly affected by large-scale events. In this remarkable series of lectures, best-selling author and business professor Peter Navarro shows how an awareness of macroeconomic forces is absolutely essential for the savvy investor. Navarro outlines the historical relationship between world events and the stock market, and outlines investment strategies designed to take advantage of the response to future events on the floors of the world's stock exchanges.

April 12, 2005: I am a Sr. In finance school, and this course is advanced enough to help those of us to speak the language, understand how all the pieces fit together. At the same time, the course guide and additional reading give any novice with a basic knowledge of the business world the tools for portfolio management. I reccomend this to finance students / MBA's too...Dr. Navarro uses examples and scenarios from an individual investors point of view (something that is often missed from a manager's viewpoint).
