Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night. She's come to terms with the vast powers the vampyre goddess, Nyx, has given her, and is getting a handle on being the new Leader of the Dark Daughters. Best of all, Zoey finally feels like she belongs--like she really fits in. She actually has a boyfriend…or two. Then the unthinkable happens: Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey's old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves. Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night, and Zoey must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeopardize the very fabric of her world.
Some would find it hard to write the sequel to a great book like Marked, but the Cast women obviously didn't have that problem. I laughed, sighed, and definitely cried. I thought that I knew where this series was headed but the authors took me completely by surprise. Congrats to P.C. and Kristin Cast, on a fantastic job. Bring on Chosen!

October 01, 2008: I waited three months for this book after I read the first one because they never had it in the store. But when I got it I am so glad it delivered. I loved this part and can't wait to get the next two. I also cried for poor Stevie Ray.

September 09, 2008: What people need to understand that there will be bad books throught a series. This one did draw out certain parts, but that is what the character does. that is what the character DID in the first book as well. This was a great read and i am looking forward to both Untamed and Chosen. I am also looking forward on how the guys treat her. They were the ones who all asked her out within a month's time. That is unfair to Zoey. Also, Neferet is also making the series more intresting as well. :)
