    Synopsis

    You Are Cordially Invited . . .

to your brother's wedding where he will marry rich, famous Marni Shay, at the River Lodge, the most elite resort in Colorado, the state you chose to go to college in so you could escape your family, except they'll all be there. Enjoy ten fun-filled days of avoiding your mother, who still thinks you're not girly enough; planning your brother's bachelor party, because you are his best man, er, girl; and, oh yeah, trying not to drool all over Hot Connor, who happens to be in your English seminar and work at the River Lodge. Put your best foot forward, and . . .

Don't miss the most joyous celebration of the year!

    Yeah, right.

    AGERANGE: Ages 12 up.

Farrah Jane Morris went to college in Colorado to escape her crazy mother and make a life on her own. But at the end of her first semester, her mountainous sanctuary is being invaded. Her brother is getting married and everyone will be there--literally. He is marrying a socialite, the daughter of a famous clothing designer, and his sister is to be his "best girl." But what Farrah (who goes by Jane at school) does not realize is that the boy she has had a crush on for the entire semester, Hot Connor, works at the lodge where the wedding will take place. And he hates all the snooty guests! Jane's new friend Biff comes up with a cover story and she and Jane keep up the lie as long as they can. But Connor, who will be working for the wedding, will have to find out sooner or later that Jane the Nanny is actually Farrah the Guest. In this cute, simple romance story the characters are all genuinely likeable, if sometimes a bit too good to be true Reviewer: Kathleen Foucart

October 01, 2009: Jane's best friend and older brother is getting married this Christmas to Marni, who comes from mega money. They've rented out an elite Colorado lodge where the wedding will take place. On the first night there, Jane meets Marni's sister, the family black sheep. She and Jane hit it off as they make their way to the kitchen to snag some delicious chocolate cake. While eating the cake, a boy walks into the kitchen startling them. It turns out to be none other than Connor (aka Hot Connor who goes to college with Jane). Connor's been sent on a mission to kind "round" ice cubes for Marni's mother. Immediately, he starts ranting on the mega rich guests and all their superior attitudes. Jane and her new friend lie and pretend to be nannies for Jane's younger twin brothers. But Jane begins to realize that there might be something between her and Connor. Can she keep him from finding out the truth while also fulfilling her best man duties to her brother and make her mother happy?
