Don't Quote Me™ celebrates the world's ultimate renewable resource, the quotation.
For Beltway Bloopers, we turned our attention to the world of politics and found no shortage of great material. Will Rogers once said, "There's no trick to being a humorist when you have the whole government working for you." Never has the government been working so tirelessly to provide you with humor.
For your enjoyment, we've harnessed the most memorable—and funniest—lines from politicians, pundits and members of the media. In this collection, we've captured doublespeak, blunders, goofs and cutting quips. Current candidates and past politicians work together to serve up a bundle of laughs.
"The president has kept all the promises he intended to keep."—George Stephanopolous
"I'm more comfortable telling people I'm a nudist than saying I'm a Democrat." —Terri Capshaw
"I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman...and a woman...and a woman." —Mitt Romney

July 04, 2008: Reid and the 'Don't Quote Me' gang have squeezed a surprisingly diverse and entertaining emsemble of telling statements by some of the most influential people of our times into this compact book. Its size and format makes it easy to carry around and take up for a quick smile that is easily shared even in fairly brief moments during the day. Despite its size there is more material here, much of it contemporary, than one would expect or think would exist. Great fun!
