July 06, 2009: The Prospect Handbook is an exellent book to teach you about every orginizations prospects from good to bad.
It will give you a scouting report for each player from pitching to defence to hitting to persinality. It will tell you if the prospect was an international signing, a college draft pick, or a high school draft pick. The Prospect Handbook will also give you a brief overview of the orginization and all of it's minor league affiliates. It gives a grade to each of the past 5 drafts and tells you which prospect is the best at each type of talent per team. EX. [Best Fastball- Brad Holt]It gives the top 30 prospects per team. Not only that- it grades which teams have the best prospects [The Texas Rangers] and 3 people give you each of there opinions of the top 50 prospects in baseball. All of this is in one amazing book that teaches you everything about prospect from the scouting systems to whothe best prospect is. One fantastic buy!I Also Recommend: Bill James Handbook 2009.
