Just looking at this large format board book, I was sure that it was a reprint. The pictures of kids and animals remind me of those that I saw in books many years agogirls with dresses, lots of tow-headed kids, and very little ethnic variety. The book helps young ones learn the names of baby animals and the ones depicted make you want to reach out and pet them all. Sweet puppies, soft kittens, fluffy chick and ducklings, wooly lambs and hungry birds, pink plump piglets and more. Gyo does a good job presenting a variety of animals, their names, and the sounds that they make. A sweet bit of nostalgia. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
