February 25, 2009: Thank you, Perry, for posting that scurrilous "review" of books that you have NOT read. You read several sample pages of one book, found an error, and used this to attempt to discredit the entire 728 pages of "Awakening The Soul: The Trilogy."
The error in question is saying that Jesus said, "You are all gods," when he is actually quoted as saying, "You are gods." This variation is not out of context, and the sentences actually mean the same thing. Yet you somehow distort this to "raping scripture," and use it to attempt to discredit my books. The reason I thank you is because this "review" exposes how the right-wing Christian fundamentalists operate by distorting the truth for their own agenda, to discredit whatever might be challenging their belief system. You say that you are only "after the truth," but you expose the falsity of that statement by claiming "Awakening The Soul" is "just another New Age assault on the Bible and the church." and warning "BUYER BEWARE." I doubt if you would get as incensed had I misquoted the Vedas or the Koran. This minor error does not, in any sense, discredit the primary tenets and information contained in "Awakening The Soul." I stand by my work.Your attack reeks with hypocrisy, trashing my books for one slight error (which is being corrected as we speak) while defending the bible, which is riddled with inconsistencies and contradictions. If you applied your same criteria to the bible, it would be rejected as error-ridden.There are some real 5-star reviews of "Awakening The Soul" by people who have actually read the books:Five stars! Brilliant work! A must for every Seeker of Truth, 31 Dec 2008By Mr. RL Van Den Berg (London UK)This book shows us how the church since 325AD eradicated the true message of the teachings of Jesus and replaced it with a set of deceptions, created to keep humanity in a spiritual wilderness. We have been in this wilderness for more than 17 centuries now and its time for us now to cross over that Jordan and take up our Divine Inheritance. In order to do so we need to shed our wineskins and mindsets. We need to realize that not everything taught from a church pulpit is Truth. Then we need to return to seek out the true nature of the Divine within us, as the Gospel of Luke says: "The Kingdom is within".Here are some really good eye-openers. Here are some really good guidelines to assist us in returning to our Divine Inheritance. We can return to our True spiritual nature. The seekers of the Kingdom will seek and find it, despite churches and Jezebellic institutions.I hope that we all discover the Truths in this book and leave a life of wandering in the desert behind us. * * *REVIEW: Awakening the Soul Book 2: Our Suppressed Spiritual NatureBy Bill Missett(Author House: 2005)Review by Bob YehlingThe author's purpose for writing this book - and the whole Awakening the Soul trilogy - is to enlighten us on who we are, how we were taken into the dark, and how we can reclaim the light that's always been within us. Sometimes, it takes a brick on the head to stir us from our slumber. Here's the brick. (These reviews are greatly abbreviated because of length B&N restrictions)Reader Rating:

February 24, 2009: The author claims his work is well researched yet on page three of book two not only does he misquote Jesus in John 10:34 as He (Jesus) is quoting from Psalm 82 as it refers to the divine appointment of the judges of Israel, he erroneously implies from that text that Jesus is teaching that we are "all gods" possessing mystical spiritual abilities. To use the Bible in this way is nothing short of raping the sacred text for journalistic self-gratification. This puts his entire work in question as far as this reader is concerned and I read no further. This is just another New Age assault on the Bible and the church. BUYER BEWARE!
