    Biography

    Born in Leicester, England in 1864, James Allen wrote nineteen popular works of inspiration before his death in 1912. "From Poverty to Power" was his first book, followed by "As a Man Thinketh," his best-known work.
    Arthur R. Pell, Ph.D., who revised "Think and Grow Rich" and the present edition of "As a Man Thinketh," is the author of numerous articles and books on management, career planning, and human relations.

    August 20, 2009: If you were to live the tenets, ideals and beliefs which Allen espouses, you would find inner peace. Doing is much harder than saying but he gives you the tools to be content in life. Any religion would have to agree with the fundamentals of Allen's doctrine.
