An excellent and accessible text on game theoryby slamSL

March 16, 2009: A comprehensive text geared toward the non-specialists on game theory. It is delivered clearly, coherently and entertainingly, devoid of much math and jargon. The scope of the book is comprehensive, from gambling, dueling, incentivization, etc. The Art of Strategy is not light reading, but it is intriguing. It is not a book that can be read casually but it pays high dividends to those who are willing to go through the book with care. With this book, the authors have demonstated the applicability of game theory in many mainstream issues. By looking forward and reasoning backward, as espoused by the authors, I believe this book will make any reader a better player in the game of life.

Very good book but needs some workby Decartes

November 29, 2008: This is a good book but isn't written as clearly as I would prefer as a reader. There are portions of the book that would be simplified to get a point across. Also, some of the communication style used in the book glosses over the point. It is like mining, you have to dig through the author's style to get to the nuggets of gold.
