Introduces the researcher to the vast and varied literature on South Asian archaeology and prehistory.
Comprises an annotated bibliography of works selected to provide the researcher unfamiliar with this massive body of literature with a framework for investigation. Assembled by contemporary political unit of the subcontinent (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka) rather than by physiographic region, with the exception of the Ganges Valley. Entries within each category are arranged in chronological order either by publication date or, in the case of conference proceedings, the year the conference was held.
