December 04, 2009: Not even half way through this book I agreed with myself that I had made a great choice. I found myself carrying the book with me on the trips to the hospital or other doctor's appointments to keep me company. At each appointment at least one person would compliment me on the book in my hand, Angels & Demons. After completing the book, I couldn't agree more that this was a book worth getting excited about. The book skillfully shows multiple points of views around an enormous event. This, in my opinion, is a always a charming way to dish out the perfect amount of detail. Robert Langdon, the main character, subtly evolves throughout the book after each event, which is always an interesting thing I like to look out for in books. The twists in the book are a healthy treat to keep it fresh and exciting, and I loved how cleverly they were presented, I could not have predicted any of the events that happened in this book, it was truly a rollercoaster ride. I couldn't find myself putting the book down and I even had a couple of nights where I was literally forcing myself to stay awake so I could get a little farther in the book.

The book tackles an ancient battle, science vs. religion. It is a bold subject but is handled gracefully. I enjoyed that Angels and Demons did not force any beliefs onto the reader, in fact, it represented each side quite fairly, in my opinion. I loved how fast paced it was and I kept having to tell myself to go back and reread the page because I had read over it too fast trying to figure out what happens next. I wanted to squeeze every little bit that I could out of this book. The most interesting, and my favorite, aspect of the book was that it had so many different stories within it. It encompassed an epic religious battle with half a dozen miniature stories among the characters, including vengeance and pride, and I was happy to see it even had a commendable amount of scientific garb to keep my brain thinking.

If you are looking for a great thriller story with the perfect hint of science, mystery, and religion, look no further. This book has easily jumped into my top favorites after completing it, and I hope it satisfies you as much as it has satisfied me. While reading the book I recommended it to 2 teachers, a handful of friends, and both my parents, and that was before I was even finished with it. I will gladly push this book into the hands of others and encourage them to read this, and I am now looking forward to reading the 2 other books by Dan Brown.

December 03, 2009: I highly recommend reading this book for a thrill ride for anyone that is not a history buff, only because of the twist that it puts on history. It is a fun book because of its fictional aspects intigrated with real events, it puts a twist on history. It really painted a picture, when he described the Vatican it really felt like you were there with Macri and Glick. He paired up the right duo for this novel, they complimented each other well, yet it was a cliche duo, i enjoyed it. He really complimented his novel with perfectly describing the location he wanted, painting a vivid image into your head that very nicely matches pictures you might find online. I thouroghly enjoyed the writing style of the book, it was very easy to follow along with and that gave it a reason to be very compelling to read novel. The novel was a basic good vs. evil with a new plot with a valuable lesson learned at the end. It referenced many things about the church that was interesting and made me think about.
