November 02, 2001: I bought this book after speaking to my chief resident who used the old edition to pass her in-training exam as a CA-1. I have not been disappointed because this is a SOLID book. The new Faust book contains 238 topics including over 200 ABA keywords. The explanations are very thorough and provide the essentials of 'what you need to know' for the exam. However, the book goes beyond this. It is thorough enough to read on a daily basis through your training. Its topic based approach allows quick review of particular topics such as 'infant airway versus the adult airway' by finding it in the content section. The information is presented in an easy to read and understand format with about 100 contributing authors. The only negative comment I can make is that this book is not a quick read. I really wouldn't call it a review book. You will have to allocate several days to weeks to complete the whole book. Nevertheless, you will not regret it.
