No politics here. Just a great read about real life memories from a man who also became our nation's president. I liked it because he spoke of his life without the political side. Very down-to-earth, honest and exposed. He didn't appear to glorify any of the details that for most people would be situations that would make you less than proud. Would recommend for any history / culture buff.

Customer Rating for this product is 5 out of 5 Oh! What a Delight to Read!!
A reviewer, a Jimmy Carter Fan from Georgia., 07/26/2004

This book is delightful, honest and nostalgic. It carries you back to a place in rural America where people were 'who they were'. Plain and simple, the life and culture was formed into a certain mold which eventually unfolded itself. Jimmy Carter has written a masterpiece similar to Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House Books.
