October 02, 2009: My children are all grown now however, I picked this book up as a Christmas gift for my first grandchilds parents. The author Laura Sutherland has the unique ability to present breathtaking family vacations which are chock full of adventures. My husband and I have not been to many of these suggested destinations throughout North America and I intend to incorporate these suggestions into our future travels. The destinations are organized by regions in eight chapters which include descriptions of destinations that are brought alive by the author. The photographs throughout this hardcover book are wonderful. This book is an excellent resource for travel. I recommend that this book be purchased as a gift for your family and your grandchildren.
