      Synopsis

      Never a gentleman . . . until now.

Lord Bramwell Johns, the second son of a duke, is an unrepentant scoundrel. Now that his two closest friends are disgustingly ensconced in domestic bliss, Bram is feeling strangely restless. And not even relieving London's least deserving artistocrats of their ill-gotten jewels is enough—until the night he overhears an argument. It seems that Lady Rosamund Davies is about to be forced into marriage with a rogue even worse than himself.

Rose is well aware of Bram's scandalous reputation, so any reason for his sudden interest in her is suspect; more so since he's close friends with the man about to ruin her family! She has her own plan though, and Bram may be just what she requires—as long as she remembers that he is only looking out for himself. As long as she remembers that his kisses and caresses don't mean anything. As long as she can keep from wondering whether she can trust a scoundrel . . . with her heart.

      Biography

native and current resident of Southern California, Suzanne Enoch loves movies almost as much as she loves books. She once appeared on an E! special, Star Wars Is Back, as an expert on the romance in the Star Wars movies. Other highlights include winning her third grade spelling bee, receiving an E.T. poster and T-shirt in an alien-inspired poetry contest, and submitting a script for The A-Team (which was not why the series was cancelled). When she is not busily working on her next novel, Suzanne likes to contemplate interesting phenomena, like how the three guppies in her aquarium became 161 guppies in five months.

A rousing ending to the series. With the handsome, clever scoundrel Bramwell Lowry Johns as the herby srbSH

June 23, 2009: With his two best friends happily married, Bram takes to thievery - again (he stole for friend Sully in the first book) - to relieve his boredom with his life. He finds it thrilling to steal into houses in the dark of night and to secretly give his loot to charity. Tutored by the "best", the very evil Marquis of Cosgrove, Kingston Gore, Bram is an utter scoundrel and rake. But even Bram has limits, especially when he learns that King means to forgive a huge debt in exchange for marriage with the very proper Lady Rosamund Davies and has plans to debase and mistreat her just for the pleasure of it. Despite himself, Bram won't allow this to happen. And when he meets Rose and finds her interesting and appealing, he vows either to find a way to repay the money or to help Rose flee. Rosamund is leery of Bram, but likes him anyway, and besides she's desperate; King is a debauched sybarite, and no one seems to care about her well being except the incorrigible Bram. Bit by bit Bram redeems himself with his family and his friends and finds a selfless way to get Rosamund out of the marriage and a clever way to rid society of Gore.

June 22, 2009: I am a huge fan of Suzanne Enoch and eagerly await each of her new releases. This one was no exception. I had been waiting to read Bram's story since last summer when the first two books in this series were released. I was not disappointed. This is one that I will keep and re-read over and over again. The plot was well-paced and the characters were fun and likeable. I couldn't put it down - definitely a must read for any romance fan!
