Synopsis

Samantha Madison is just your average disenfranchised sophomore gal living in DC when, in an inadvertent moment sandwiched between cookie buying and CD-perusing, she puts a stop to an attempt on the life of the president. Before she can say “MTV2” she’s appointed Teen Ambassador to the UN and has caught the eye of the very cute First Son.

Publishers Weekly

In another teen-pleasing novel from the author of the Princess Diaries books, a feisty 15-year-old self-described "urban rebel" finds that her life suddenly changes when she foils an attempt to assassinate the president. "A convincing and diverting tale," PW said in a starred review. Ages 12-up. (Aug.) Copyright 2003 Reed Business Information.

All American Girl was great!by Maddie_P

October 26, 2008: All American Girl by Meg Cabot is about a girl named Samantha. She has an older, popular, sister named Lucy. Samantha also has a younger sister named Rebecca, who is very smart. I can definitely relate to Samantha because I am a middle child! Samantha is very opinionated about certain subjects, and she has a weird sense of style. I sort of admire Samantha because she really knows who she is and she is not afraid to show it. Samantha is also in love with her sister?s boyfriend, Jack. A very artistic guy who Sam believes she?s in love with. It all starts to change when she ends up saving the presidents life, though. She stopped a bullet from hitting the president and meets his son, David, who catches her eye because of his good taste in music (Gwen Stefani, of course!), artistic ways, and charming looks. I really liked All American Girl because to me it always kept me turning pages, wanting to know what happened next. I also liked it because it had a little bit of romance in it, too. Overall I think Cabot did a absolutely wonderful job on her book!

I love Meg Cabot!!!by Anonymous

July 20, 2008: I read this book a few years ago. I love Meg Cabot and was going through her list of books when I came across All-American Girl. I absolutely had to say how excited I am to read Ready or Not. I had no clue that there was a sequal! I am so excited.
