March 27, 2007: woseley, March 26, 2007 (view all comments by woseley) Alive in Five is truly original in every way. I am enjoying the recipes in this book so much, I use it every day. I love how compact it is! I Absolutely love the look and feel of this unique book. So far, My favorites have been screamy chocolate fantastic-which lives up to its name, in every way, the lasagna is to die for, and I love the fruit salad. I started with the author's suggestions in the 5 day meal plan and then just went NUTS! I was originally attracted to Alive in Five because of its simplicity, but don't let the simplicity of this little charmer turn you off, the taste is very gourmet, although the recipes don't appear to be at first. The flavors in each dish excite my taste buds in every way and leave me craving more. I love to eat and before Alive in Five came into my life, I ate out just about every other night. I have never been much of a cook, but with this book, you don't have to be! That's the beauty of it. I give this book two thumbs up! This may just be the last cookbook I ever buy.

February 26, 2007: A friend sent me Alive in Five, and although my lifestyle is radically different from both my friend's and the author's, I am finding real inspiration here! I never dreamt I could eat 'raw food ' that looks and tastes so delectable and is so simple to fix! The real benefit is that I can integrate these recipes into my everyday life and be healthier for it - These recipes don't take alot of time or hard-to-get ingredients and they are fun and easy! I give Angela Elliott's book 5 stars - get a copy for yourself and a one for your best friend!
