      Review of Adventure Bibleby Anonymous

      Reader Rating:

September 26, 2009: I chose this one because it is the Bible my church gives to all 3rd graders, but when it came, I saw that it had several features I liked. There were maps, a concordance, glossary of Bible words, special pages to find things(chapter/verse location given, like children in the Bible, events in Jesus life, etc. The text is the New English Version of the Bible, not a paraphrase, or expanded text. At the beginning of each book was a short explanation of when it was written, for whom it was intended and what the main message of the book was. This seemed to me to be a Bible a child could read right now and also grow into. I'm happy with this choice for the children of my church and for my granddaughter.

Second part of review process is titled I ALSO RECOMMEND. About this book, The Adventure Bible, I'd just recommend reading it, reading it regularly, reading it thoughtfully and, at times, prayerfully. For many early Americans this was their only book, one many children learned to read from.
