Wonderful resource for families and addictsby pennyp

November 23, 2009: This is a great book, and will provide tremendous support and information for families struggling with a family member who is abusing or addicted to substances. The family stories were heartbreaking, but helps readers understand this devastating disease. As a substance abuse treatment professional, I will recommend this book to all of the families I work with. I have also recommended it to several addicts themselves to help them get a better perspective on what addiction looks like from a someone elses eyes.

November 11, 2009: By far, the best book on addiction I have ever read. With two family members suffering from addiction, it clarified so many things for me and made me feel sane. I will keep this book and refer to it many times for years to come.
