September 08, 2008: In this intriguing book, Bear Grylls 'host of TV's 'Man vs. Wild' recounts his journey to becoming the then youngest Briton to climb Mt. Everest. You'll read about his near fatal accident, his recovery, then his ascent up the world's highest mountain. I personally loved this book. Everything was described in such vivid detail, I felt as if I was on Everest with Bear. I felt his joy on the mountain, I felt the pain that he felt.I could understand everything so well. On the other hand, this book is a bit of an aquired taste. I'm an outdoorsy person,so I liked this book. If you aren't one with the out doors or don't hike, you may not like this book. If you love the outdoors and you like to hike, this is the book for you.
