October 14, 2008: As with most Bill Bryson books, this book somehow manages to be hilariously funny and extremely informative from start to finish.

Some of the funniest parts are where he's describing the actions of his friend as they walk along the trail.

June 02, 2008: walk in the woods Bill Bryson a walk in the woods is a very funny guide to the Appalacian trail. He makes a somewhat boring subject funny and exciting. I really like how he made it funny. I thought that all the info was confusing. I think this would appeal to outdoorsy type and hikers.
