August 14, 2008: A single shard is about a boy who's parents died of a fever, and was suppose to be an orphan at a temple but he refused to. This boys name was Treear. One day Treear saw a man under a bridge, and his name was Craneman. Do you want to know where he got his name?? The reason why this man's name was Craneman was because he only had one leg. So it made him look like a Crane on one leg. Anyways that day happen to be the day that the temple was suppose to go out and capture Treear, and bring him back to the temple. But Treear pretended that Craneman was his grandfather. the temple did fall for that so they let him stay with Craneman!! After that day Treear lived with Craneman. Then one day Treear meet a nother man and his wife at their clay shop. Treear just thought that that might just be how he could make a living!! So he asked the man. Treear also found out the man's name was Min. Min made a deal with Treear that if Treear can come in and work for them, then Min's wife would feed Treear a bowl of food. You should check this book out and find out what happens between all of them!! Anyways last but not least I want to tell you why I LOVED this book. I LOVED this book because of it's theam. And i would recomend this book to people who like sad storys that just migth some day could be them.
