    Biography

    Don Piper has been an ordained minister since 1985 and has served in several capacities on church staffs, including six years as a senior pastor. Don has appeared on Today, The 700 Club, James Robison's Life Today, and other television and radio programs, and he teaches across the United States and around the world. Don and his wife, Eva, are the parents of three grown children and live in Pasadena, Texas.

    Cecil Murphey has written or coauthored more than one hundred books. He's won a number of awards for his writing, including the 1996 Gold Medallion award for his collaboration on the autobiography of Franklin Graham, Rebel with a Cause. A collaborator on the bestseller Gifted Hands with Dr. Ben Carson, Cecil resides in Atlanta, Georgia.

    August 14, 2009: The title of this book is a little misleading. It makes you think the book is about time spent in Heaven, but in fact that is only a short part of the book at the begining. It's more about the stages of recovery that the author went through after a horrible car accident. The disapointment of being sent back to earth, the intense pain caused by his injuries, the depression he went through during his rehabilation. How his life changed not only physically but mentally as well. I could relate so well to what he has written since going through something similar with a loved one. Every mental battle Don Piper went through, my loved one went through as well. This is a wonderful book. It also shows what compassion we have for each other. I think anyone who has gone through a life changing accident (or knows someone who has) should read this book.

    February 18, 2008: the arthur don piper who is also a minister was hit head on by a big semi truck and declared dead in the hospital and this preacher got to spend 90 minutes in heaven and for some remarkable reason was allowed to come back and share what God wanted him to see. I think this is a very inspirational book that will be able to help many people that will not only strenthen their faith but help those that are in times of hurting.this little book is small enough to fit in a persons pocket and has some peaceful Bible verses as well as some special comments by don piper. great gift idea for a friend or family member or soldier serving over seas.
