      Synopsis

Hardy in spirit and sublime in beauty, Ireland casts a powerful spell. Abbey ruins crumbling into the countryside. Pub posters that boast "Guinness for Strength." Misty, magical Glencar Waterfall. The streets of Dublin, where a modern pulse beats as traditions endure. Plus, climbing Croagh Patrick, a rough-and-tumble game of rugby, Inishmore's coastal cliffs, a belly-warming stew, and green pastures that stretch to the sea.

With hundreds of transporting photographs from Peter Matthews and evocative text by novelist Colum McCann, this calendar captures the poetry, splendor, and deep sense of history that pervades the Emerald Isle. From Kerry to the rugged reaches of Galway to Leitrim and Sligo...Yeats Country...this is a lively tribute.
